Jackie Appiah Debuts Love Role With Pusher After Over 10 years of Acting

More than a decade after they co-starred in hit TV series, ‘Things We Do For Love’, popular Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah and the series’ bad boy actor Adjetey Anang popularly known as Pusher, are returning onto the big screens as lovers.

This is in an upcoming film titled, ‘Cheaters’, which reports say brought some exciting moments to both actors while on set for filming.
Also starring in the upcoming film are award winning actors Omar Sherriff Captan, Okawa Shaznay, Chichi Neblett, Uche Iwuannyawu, Henry A. Asiedu and a host of others.
Both Adjetey and Jackie are well remembered for their separate roles in Things We Do For Love. But never have they been paired in the same film.
The new film, ‘Cheaters’ is arguably the first film to pair the two actors as lovers.
The film, according to those who have seen it from the editing bench, is full of surprises.
‘Cheaters’ is described as a romantic comedy from the stables of RAJ and Heroes productions, directed by Frank Arase. It will premiere at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra on May 24.
‘Cheaters’ follows the stories of several young couples caught up in a web of love, lies and extramarital affairs.
It throws more light on the assumption that Marriage is the only war in which one sleeps with the enemy. If the couple is inseparable, it usually takes 5 people to separate it and Cheaters reflects just that.
In this film Love is portrayed as a mysterious adventure that takes one through many twists and turns. One adds a bit of infidelity to the mix and he or she has the perfect recipe for disaster.
Movie enthusiasts are encouraged to wait until may 24 to watch how these love-torn couples struggle to make it through another overrated love-fest called Valentine’s Day.
