Ama K Abebrese Donates Blood To Police Hospital On Birthday

Ghanaian actress and TV icon, Ama K. Abebrese, together with her friends, on Friday donated pints of blood to the blood bank of the Police Hospital in Accra.

The donation was to help the hospital replenish its blood bank and formed part of activities to mark the actress’s birthday on Friday May 3.

The one-time Africa Movie Academy Awards Best Actress gathered her friends in the entertainment industry and those outside to support her by also donating blood to the hospital.

an Regent Hotel in Accra.

Known faces among her friends were Nana Ama McBrown, D’Cryme, Adjetey Anang, Alvin of BB‘n’Z, and Ato Ashun, who also joined Ama K. to cut her birthday cake. 

‘I have always wanted to do this,” she told journalists, some of whom also donated blood to support her.

As of the time of leaving the hospital last Friday, there was an urgent need for the blood donated by Ama K. and her group.

It was the first time an actress had done a thing of this nature.
