Its 2011 smash hit single ‘One More Time’ had a VIP influence.
But Lil Kryz is currently pursuing education in the United States of America and that was the reason why Double Eye, now Stranger decided to go solo until his pal returned.
Even before he got signed by BDN, he recorded two new solo singles. One is titled ‘Do it’ featuring VIP and the other, ‘Say Kulley’, which he was featured by Lizzard.
“We started by signing FOI three years ago and along the way, Lil Kryz has to go school in the United States of America, so he left. We have to renew the contract with them, so we decided to work with Stranger. He is coming up with a new album which has 12 songs. We shooting about four videos and we have one video already. By next week we are releasing a song on radio and a couple of weeks later, we will drop the video. This is what we are starting. We (BDN) are looking at working with up and coming artistes, both males and females. BDN is looking to getting into events. It is something that we have been doing long time ago in the United State of America where we organize concerts and stuff. We want to bring it back here in Ghana,” Zeal said at the press conference.
“We are not just going to sign people from Nima. We are going spread our wings all around Ghana. This is just the beginning of the movement and we need your support as people from the media. We have been doing this from our pocket since we started in 1999,” Prodigal added.
Stranger on his part expressed enthusiasm to be back on BDN as a solo artiste. “It feels great,” he said and added that he was ready for the music task ahead of him.
He is expected to release his first single under BDN as solo artiste this week. The single is titled, ‘Wa Tricki Wo’ and expected to make huge impact.

I Did Not Exit Cheaters-Chichi Cries Out

Chichi Neblett
Actress Chichi Neblett has explained why she has not been casted for the sequel of the award winning Ghanaian movie, ‘Cheaters’.
Speaking in a short interview with NEWS-ONE yesterday ahead of the sequel’s premiere last night, she said, “I did not exit Cheaters. It is just that I am not part of the book2.”
NEWS-ONE reported on Wednesday that the Liberian born actress was not among the list of actors who have been announced to appear in the Book2 directed by Frank Rajah for Raj Films & Heroes Production.
“Chichi, according to information had been taken off the Book2 of the series ...after she acted in Book 1,” the paper’s source indicated on Wednesday.
But Chichi explained her absence saying, “I was not in Ghana at the time of production and besides when I was called to come on set I had then lost my voice and nothing could be done about it.”
Meanwhile, director Frank Rajah is yet to speak to the issue.
‘Cheaters’ is currently the most talked about movie in Ghanaian media.
It follows the stories of several young couples caught up in a web of love, lies and extramarital affairs. It throws more light on the assumption that marriage is the only war in which one sleeps with the enemy. If the couple is inseparable, it usually takes five people to separate it and ‘Cheaters’ reflects just that. In this film love is portrayed as a mysterious adventure that takes one through many twists and turns.
One adds a bit of infidelity to the mix and he or she has the perfect recipe for disaster.
It stars top actors Omar Sheriff Captan, Adjetey Anang, Jackie Appiah, USA-based Cameroonian actress Okawa Shaznay, Uche Iwuannyawu, and Henry A. Asiedu.

She was the second runner-up during Miss Malaika 2003. Then she left for Germany, where she was born to continue her education. As fate could have it she was crowned Miss Ghana-Germany in 2005, which automatically earned her a modelling contract with Eddy Baower Modelling Agency for eight months.
Currently she is one of the few actresses in Ghana who make the headlines.

Nigerian Actress ‘Stranded’ Over Movie Premiere In Ghana

Uche Joan

Nigerian actress and Cheaters’ star Uche Joan Iwuanyanwu, according to reliable information somehow got ‘stranded’ yesterday at the Mutala International Airport in an effort to fly down to Ghana.
The beautiful actress was supposed to be in Ghana for last night’s premiere of the sequel of the movie titled, ‘Cheaters’ in which she was featured.
However, she didn’t make it to Ghana at all and NEWS-ONE has received conflicting reasons to why she didn’t make it.
Sources told this paper yesterday that she won’t be in Ghana because, “Uche went to Mutala International Airport in Lagos to purchase her tickets for her trip to Ghana but there was no vacant seat for her. She was late. I don’t know why she decided to wait all this while till the last day to purchase her ticket.”
However, when the actress was contacted, she said, “I am busy and that is why I can’t make it to Ghana today for the premiere. I really wish to be in town.”
It was difficult to tell who was telling the truth. But it was obvious she didn’t attend the premiere last night.
Uche Joan Iwuanyanwu is one of Nollywood’s fast rising actresses. She hails from Mbano Local Government area of Imo State and is an Economics graduate from the University of Jos, Plateau State.
She has been acting since 2009 and featured in a few Ghana and Nigeria collaborated movies.
She was in Ghana few months for the premiere of ‘Cheaters Book 1’ in which she played an amazing role alongside Jackie Appiah, Adjetey Anang, Omar Sheriff Captan, Chichi Neblett, Okawa Shaznay and others.
After that premiere she told NEWS-ONE in an exclusive interview that her first experience on set as an aspiring actress was not a pleasant one.
According to her, she was told in the face by a makeup artiste that she was not a star, therefore there was no need making her up for her close-up shots. However, she did not allow that experience to derail her dream of becoming one of Africa’s most celebrated actresses. She overlooked it and did what she was supposed to do in the movie perfectly and now she is on the rise.

The‘book1 was premiered on May 24 and it attracted an encouraging patronage at the Silverbird Cinema. Two of Silverbird Cinema halls were used for the premiere. Each of the halls screened the movie twice and on each occasion, the halls were fully packed.
Thursday August 8, the book2 starring actors Omar Sheriff Captan, Adjetey Anang, Jackie Appiah, USA-based Cameroonian actress Okawa Shaznay, Uche Iwuannyawu, Elikem and Henry A. Asiedu among others will be release at the Silverbird Cinema with a star studded premiere.

Cheaters, follows the stories of several young couples caught up in a web of love, lies and extramarital affairs.

Actress Salma Joins Cheaters As Chichi Exits

Chichi Neblett
Liberian born Ghanaian actress Chichi Neblett is not among the list of actors who have been announced to make up the cast of the sequel for Frank Rajah’s directed series, ‘Cheaters’. Chichi, according to information available to NEWS-ONE had been taken off the Book2 of the series which will premiere tomorrow Thursday August 8, at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra as part of Muslim festivities.
Specific reasons have not been given for her exit and it is not clear if she will be returning in subsequent books of the series. However, it was confirmed she won’t be in Book2. The beautiful actress was in the Book1 and was reported to have openly said she was amazed at how she was exceptionally kissed by fellow character, Omar Sheriff Captan.
Unfortunately or fortunately she won’t be returning in the second book of the romantic comedy.
Meanwhile, the director has introduced a new character, sassy actress Salma Mumin. Salma is one of the fortunate hot entrants who have managed to win the hearts of movie enthusiasts.
She did not just get included in the Book2 of Cheaters but she had a spot on the series’ poster, which has become a subject of competition among the actors.

NEWS-ONE reported this week that director Frank Rajah was under pressure from his cast over who should be on the movie’s poster; the reason he has decided to design different posters to serve all interests.

Last year, VIP made Eid-ul-Fitr celebration a memorable one with great musical performances to entertain fans. The group had astonishing support from their colleague artistes who took turns on stage to wow music fans at a show dubbed ‘Sallah Fest 2012’, organised on the Nima main street.

The feast was accompanied by the Muslim traditional way of celebrating the Sallah, which includes traditional drumming and dancing and the chiefs of Nima riding horses in a very unique fashion.
