Greater Accra Chairman of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Nana Kwaku Duah, popularly known as Tic Tac, has denied that the union’s newly launched Industry Night Ghana event was derived from the rested Music For Your Dancing Feet programme on TV in the mid 90s.
He told NEWS-ONE on Friday evening that MUSIGA’s event would go beyond Music For Your Dancing Feet, though he added that the Industry Night Ghana would also be a TV magazine programme.

“No no, Industry Night Ghana goes beyond that. It is somethin
g like that but it goes beyond that because obviously you know that now it is not just music, it is music, corporate. So it is going to have that class and you know…you wait till it happens,” he said.
Tic Tac made the comment after the Greater Accra branch of MUSIGA outdoored its Industry Night Ghana on Friday evening.

The launching ceremony, which was held at the Golden Tulip Hotel, was also used to launch the event’s website.
The ceremony attracted stakeholders and officials of MUSIGA including President Bice Osei Kufour, Daddy Bosco, Ras Appiah and others.
The rest included Ded Buddy (Qweci), OD4, Shegee, formerly of female group Tripple M, a member from the gospel duo Tagoe Sisters and Zeal of VIP.
Industry Night Ghana is a monthly music oriented event that will be held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra. This seeks to bring the corporate and music community together to network and forge synergies that should go a long way to benefit the parties.
“It is to bring the music industry and corporate under one big umbrella,” Tic Tac told journalists
“The event will provide a perfect atmosphere for business socialization and the promotion of Ghanaian music and entertainment to increase the demand for musicians and music related companies,” he added.

“Basically we want to preserve Ghana music, give it a different outlook and take it to the next level. What we are trying to do is to give voice to many musicians who are major or one way or the other are not living off radio and also we are giving more mileage to the ones who are already making it big and most importantly bring the corporate industry close to the music industry and move the creative arts industry, particularly the music industry, to another level,” Tic Tac added.
