Leila Djansi’s “And There Was You” Receives Thumbs Up in Ghana

 Leila Djansi’s newly directed film “And There Was You,”   received thumbs up from a large number of Ghanaian movie audiences who flooded the Silverbird auditorium on Friday night to see the film for the first time.

The film is Leila’s first written and directed film in Hollywood. Friday’s screening event was the first in Africa, ahead of its official international premiere, slated for February 14 2014 on the DSTV, BET channel.
A lot of guests who attended the ceremony were enthusiastic about the story and general output.
Among known faces who attended were Professor Azumah Nelson, Ama K. Abrebese, Joselyn Dumas, Vincent McCauley, Tony Prince Tomety and Nana Agyemang among others.

And There Was You is written by Leila Djansi and it is about Garcelle Beauvais who stars as a teacher and has to stitch up the pieces of her life after her husband leaves. When she falls for a new man, she discovers he too has relationship-ending secrets.
It also stars important Lynn Whitfield, Greg Vaughan, Leon Robinson, Kate Nauta, Brian White and Trilby Glover
