Popular Ghanaian Twi actor, Salinco brought a lot of excitement when he hosted the Vodafone Retailers Award ceremony held at the Tema Community Centre last Friday.
The Vodafone Retailer Award is a specially-designed award scheme to honor and reward credit card retailers who have helped Vodafone to reach out to its customers in every nook and cranny of the country.
It started in September last year and went round the regions including Eastern, Western, Volta and Brong Ahafo. In all, over 600 retailers have been rewarded.

The Friday ceremony was for Greater Accra and over 260 retailers received various rewards including Motorcycles and home appliances like fridges, LCD TVs, Microwaves and Home Theaters. Others got Educational Scholarship, Vodafone branded kiosks, Mobile Phones and a lot of other goodies.
Every Vodafone retailer was qualified to win but winners were those who had more points in selling Vodafone products and services on a scheme established by Vodafone for its retailers.
The biggest prize was a car to be received at the end of the year.
Daniel Kissi Asiedu, Corporate Communication Manager, said Vodafone was committed to empowering the people it works with, hence the award.
“Vodafone is all about inspiring and empowering the people we come in contact with, be it our customers, be it our stakeholders, our suppliers and even it goes down to our retailers. We’re actually committed to inspiring and empowering them to do more. So this is why we launched this award and we will continue to reward them,” he noted and urged retailers to continue the good job they were doing for the company.
Actor Salinco, who was the MC of the award ceremony, brought excitement to retailers who had gathered at the ceremony with his jokes and comic renditions.
He gave retailers good comedy such that every utterance he made was met with stimulating laughter from the crowd.  He was indeed phenomenal and appealed to the audience.
