Nollywood Comedian Francis Odega Beats Agya Koo, Mr. Ibu Others For Yvonne Nelson's Movie

Francis Odega on Yvonne's set
Popular Nigerian actor Francis Odega made his first appearance in a Ghanaian movie in Yvonne Nelson’s upcoming ‘House of Gold’.
The comedian and ‘Clinic Matters’ series cast member reportedly played the role of a driver in the new movie which also stars music stars Ice Prince and Omawumi, Majid Michel and Eddie Watson among others.
One of the traits of a good movie is characterization. The most loved movies also featured great characters or cast.
Movie enthusiasts and pundits are yet to see for themselves if Yvonne has achieved that with the upcoming movie. But the announcement of her cast generated a lot of talks in the media.
The inclusion of Francis Odega thus came as a surprise to many who spotted his photos from the set.
“He is a good comedian and many Ghanaians love him. He also has a large following across Africa but people don’t know. His character in ‘Clinic Matters’ is making people love him the more. I am not surprised Yvonne Nelson used him,” a source from Nigeria said.
Yvonne told NEWS-ONE yesterday that she cast him for the role because she thought he was the best person to the play the role.
She did not confirm if he was his humorous self in the upcoming movie but said movie enthusiasts would see that for themselves when the movie finally came out.
Francis beat the likes of Mr. Ibu, Osofia, Charles Inoji, Agya Koo and a number of top Ghanaian and Nigerian comedians to be part of Yvonne’s movie.
Sources close to the actress’s production claimed some of the above-mentioned names popped up when Yvonne and her team were selecting their cast but they were all dropped.
The leggy actress is yet to release the synopsis of the movie whose shooting wrapped a week ago.
