Yvonne Okoro Swerves Media Over AMAA Awards

 The Ghanaian media has been on actress Yvonne Okoro’s case, urging her to drop some comments about just-ended African movie Academy Awards in Nigeria.

However the beautiful actress has been swerving every effort made by some reputable media houses including those from Nigeria.

Yvonne’s movie ‘Contract’, directed by award-winning movie director Shirley Frimpong Manso and starring Jacobs Cross actor Hlomla Dandala and Nollywood’s Joseph Benjamin, surprisingly didn’t pick any award after six nominations. 

It came as a surprise to many who saw the film and wanted to hear what Yvonne’s comments about the award ceremony would be.

Some believed it was not a big deal to talk about it while others think otherwise.  

But the actress had just one thing to say which she tweeted thus,“…Thanks guys for the wishes and support you gave Contract. Still in the cinemas in Nigeria, run in your heels and sneakers and see it. Love to all.”   

 Yvonne also beat the media to it with her fashion on the night. Many thought that she will showcase some boobs like she did last year. But it didn’t turn out like that. She covered up.

She was beautifully dressed in a Badgley Mischka white dress to match with her Karen Millien purse. She and other Ghanaian actors including Kofi Adjorlolo, Prince David Osei and Eddie Nartey were given amazing attention on the AMAA red carpet from Nollywood media.
