Sultry Ghanaian actress Yvonne Okoro on Sunday November 25, 2012 celebrated her birthday day in a unique fashion.
She received a lot of congratulatory messages from her fans, friends, industry players and her loving family.
She has planned a number of activities to mark her birthday, one of which is to put a smile on the faces of the underprivileged in society.
The actress is embarking on a project to build a modern playground for the Dzorwulu Special School in Accra, which will be commissioned very soon.
The award-winning actress has a lot of stuff going on for her this year. She is currently waiting to stage a big premiere for her first produced movie, ‘The Contract’ under her Desamour Company Limited. She is also writing a children’s book.
A few months ago, the ‘Single Six’ actress was adjudged Pan African Best Actress while in March this year, she was honoured with a Distinguished Achievement Award at the 2012 Nigeria Excellence Awards, chaired by His Excellency, Ambassador Musiliu Obanikoro, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Ghana.
Indeed, this year has been a fruitful one for Yvonne who has also been consistent in news in Ghana and Nigeria.
With great movie credits and awards, Yvonne Okoro is described as an iconic actress of great character. She is a co-winner of Best Actress at 2010 Ghana Movie Awards, and was nominated twice for the Best Actress in Leading Role and Best Actress in Supporting Role slots for the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAAs).
Currently a Face of BO-16 hair relaxer, Yvonne is not just an actress but an entrepreneur. She owns a multi-purpose company called Desamour Company Limited which offers services in advertising, public relations and media consultancy, event management and real estates.
