Signals pick from the camp of Liberian-born Ghanaian actress Chichi Neblett have revealed that a Nigerian producer based in Ghana has contacted the actress after she said she would go to court for her picture being used unlawfully on a Nigerian movie poster.
Neblett’s exclusive photograph, taken some years ago for the poster of a movie titled ‘Hot Romance’, appeared on the poster of a new Nigerian movie, ‘I Quit.
The ‘I Quit’ photo had been photoshopped, with the face of Neblett being replaced with that of actress Rita Dominic.
Neblett expressed her outrage about the development and threatened to go to court. But source said a Nigerian Ghanaian producer whom she took the pictures for contacted her to apparently tell her that he knew nothing about the development.
Neblett however insisted that she will take the matter to court.
Currently, Rita Dominic is mute on the drama that is going on as she has not made any public reaction.
The posters of the ‘I Quit’ movie are in circulation in Nigerian cities of Kaduna and Lagos.
