The era of petty-fighting, backbiting and envy among female celebs could not find a place in the relationship between two beautiful Ghanaian actresses; Zynnell Lydia Zuh and Helen Asante. The two actresses, for the past weeks have sent signals that they are best friends and would not allow petty issues come between them.
Though critics say their friendliness can only be proven in a matter of time, the 'Different Shades of Blue' actress and ‘Adams Apples’ cute actress at the moment are having a jolly good time together as industry ‘besties’,  NEWS-ONE gathered.
They seem very comfortable in each other’s company and such was the situation when they attended the cover party for Yvonne Okoro’s edition of the Glitz Africa celebrity and lifestyle magazine, last Wednesday.  
They commanded respect and some attention with their stunning looks while they posed for snapshots.
It was indeed a friendly affair at the event, even though they are both competitors in an industry where seeking prominence is the order of the day.
In their company was another friend and rising actress Adelaide.
Wednesday was the second time the cameras officially captured them together. The first was at the City People Awards held in Nigeria. But there had been other times when they were spotted together hanging out.
What many people currently do not know is what has bound the two cute actresses? Could it be their tolerance, respect or love for each other?
In the past, Helen used to hang out with plump actress and Ghana Movie Award 2010 Best Actress co-winner, Roselyn Ngissah. But not much of them have been seen this year.
Interestingly, she started to roll with Zynnell Lydia Zuh who has not really defined who her real friends are. She attended the 2012 edition of Ghana Movie Awards with Lydia Forson, an indication that they have some relationship.
Indeed, the new bondage with Helen only needs time to attest whether they are real friends or just doing it for the moment.

John Dumelo & Yemi Blaq Join ‘Northern Affairs’ Cast

 Access Media is yet to announce the finally list for the cast of its upcoming Christmas Blockbuster titled, ‘Northern Affairs’.
Information gathered by NEWS-ONE says producers have altered their decision to use Nollywood screen ‘bad boy’ Jim Iyk after earlier reports that he would be making debut with lead actress Joselyn Dumas on the new project.
He is replaced with calm looking and sexy eye actor, Yemi Blaq, who has acted in some Ghanaian movies including, Leila Djansi’s directed, ‘Sinking Sands’.
Also, Access Media added one more cast via its website over the weekend in the person of ladies’ man, John Dumelo.      
Last week, CEO of Access Media Mabel Germaine announced that BAFTA recognized director Leila Djansi will be directing the Christmas blockbuster film. The movie, which is still casting, stars Joselyn Dumas as Esaba Jomo, a nurse who teams up with Dr. Manuel Quagraine in a small fishing village to provide healthcare.

Sparks fly and the two begin to fall in love. But each one has a dark secret that will threaten whatever love they'll share. The script was written by Leila Djansi.
Playing the role of Manuel is Nigeria’s Yemi Blaq who interestingly played a doctor in Leila's ‘Sinking Sands’.
Also starring in the film is ace TV presenter Jon Germain. Other cast will be announced shortly. The film is being supported by Joselyn Dumas’ management, Ifactory Live led by Michael Djaba.
Leila Djansi recently wrapped a feature titled, ‘And Then there was You’ which stars Golden Globe nominee and Emmy Award winning actress Lynn Whitfield, Garcelle Beauvais, Brian White, Greg Vaughan and Leon. ‘And Then there was You’ will be released in 2014 via leading indie distributor Image Entertainment and BET.
Multiple award-winning filmmaker, Leila Jewel Djansi began her career with the GAMA Film Company in Ghana. She wrote her first feature film ‘Babina’ with Aak Films Ghana at the age of 19.
With an academic background in Film and Television and Cultural Anthropology, Leila is a filmmaker who has chosen to tell stories about life, survival and the delicate intricacies of culture.
Her critically acclaimed film ‘Grass Between My Lips’ won the Platinum Award for Best Film at the 2009 WorldFest International Film festival making it one of the many awards she has won in her career as a filmmaker. She established Turning Point Pictures LLC, a company set up to produce films primarily on social issues.
Her credits include: ‘I Sing of a Well’ (11 Nominations - African Movie Academy Award; winning the jury prize for Over-All Best Picture; BAFTA/LA PAFF Choice award for Excellence in Filmmaking.

I’m Not Dating Black Boy-GH One’s Berla

GhOne TV anchor Berla Mundi born Berla Addardey has categorically denied claims that she is pulling some amorous strings with YFM presenter, Black Boy who is also a host at GhOne.
Rumour mongers have a reason to think that there is some level of office romance happening between the two personalities. However, Berla claims otherwise. She says they are just colleagues.
“We are just work colleagues, no strings attached,” she emphasized while laughing.
The beautiful young lady is not just eloquent, enterprising and industrious but also daring. All that sums up to a young energetic woman who controls the airwaves every week on GhOne TV.
Her soothing voice and interesting personality with unique style, coupled with her amazing ability to drive away a storm with her charming smile has enabled her to win the hearts of many.
Born on an April Fools’ Day, the 25-year-old is a Psychology and Linguistics graduate of the University of Ghana.
She is among the new crop of TV anchors who are rising very well.
However, her amorous links with her co-host of Rythmz, Black Boy, looks like something that will stay for a long time, despite her denial.

She produces and presents The Daily Buzz and The Omnibuzz on GhOne TV. This is a weekly news show which, within a few months, has gained massive popularity across the country.

Aphrodisiac Hosts Night Of Comedy

Aphrodisiac Night Club will today Wednesday be set agog by some of the country’s finest comedians and their Nigerian counterparts who will be converging for a comedy night.
Dubbed, Night of Comedy, the event which is packaged to involve music and dance will come off on the first and last Wednesdays of the every month.
The first show will take off tonight at 7:00pm with Nigerian comedian Hogan as the host.
Night of Comedy is aimed at providing a comedy club for workers to relax on Wednesdays.
Hogan is a Ghana-based Nigerian comedian. He has performed on a number of Ghanaian comedy platforms including 1013 and 1014 laughs comedy shows in Accra and Takoradi. He was on Decemba 2 Rememba last year and Lords of the Ribs comedy show this year.
